Navio confirms the technology’s readiness to start autonomous travel on the M-12, M-4 and TsKAAD highways

Navio announces readiness of its autonomous trucking technology for three new highways: M-12 "Vostok", M-4 "Don", and A-113 Central Ring Road.

Technological readiness of a highway requires statistically significant testing, including mileage accumulation using Navio’s high-definition (HD) maps. These digital maps are a critical component of the technology, ensuring precise navigation and traffic rule compliance — even in adverse weather or absence of road markings. A key test on the M-12 "Vostok" involved an autonomous delivery of trial cargo along the Moscow–Kazan–Moscow route.

Since June 2023, Navio has been operating autonomous freight transport on the M-11 "Neva" highway. As of December 2024, under the federal "Unmanned Logistics Corridors" (ULC) programme, 35 Navio autonomous trucks have been approved for use on the M-11. The company’s vehicles have collectively covered over 1.8 million kilometres and delivered more than 40,000 tonnes of cargo.
